Old Playtest installed, missing game or failed login?

  1. Check the library entry first: launch WARDOGS rather than WARDOGS Playtest. Keep the old installation only if you still need it; it is not the route into current Early Access.
  2. If the paid game is missing, check the purchasing account and your purchase receipt. A key bought outside Steam may need activation; use the seller’s instructions or Steam support rather than buying twice.
  3. If the main game opens but fails to connect, note the full error code and check official notices. Authentication failure, a login queue and a server join timeout need different checks.

When did the September beta end?

  1. Closed Beta #2 window. The initial closed phase used pre-orders and invitation waves.

The September 22 announcement is for Season 02 on October 15, not a new free beta invitation. Check the official announcements for any future test and its access rules; old sign-up instructions do not establish a new test window.
